To assure the continued privacy and confidentiality of your personal financial information, your credit union observes these practices and procedures:

Information We Collect

Your relationship is important to us, and we are committed to providing you with the best products and services possible. To do that, we collect non-public personal information from a variety of sources to keep you informed about the many financial services, products, and benefits available to you as a Tidemark member. We also collect information to comply with laws and regulations and to protect you against fraud. For example, we collect nonpublic information about you from some or all of the following sources: Information we receive from you on applications or other forms; Information about your transactions with us, or others; Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency; Information obtained when verifying information you provide on applications/forms. Location Data is collected to provide location-based messages and interactions. Data in the app may be collected in the background or while the app is not in use.

Information We Disclose

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members or former members to anyone, except as permitted by law. These disclosures typically include information to follow your instructions as you authorize, to conduct the operations of the credit union, or to protect the security of our financial records. To protect our members' privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the information we provide to other third parties.

Our Security Measures

We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal Regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumer the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

What?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social Security number and account balances
  • account transactions and employment information
  • overdraft history and payment history

When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

How? All financial companies need to share members’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their members’ personal information; the reasons Tidemark FCU chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

What we do
How does Tidemark FCU protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Tidemark FCU collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or use your credit or debit card
  • show your government-issued ID or apply for financing
  • make deposits or withdrawals from your account

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes –information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions  
Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Tidemark FCU wholly owns Tidemark FCU Insurance Services, LLC
Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Nonaffiliates we share with can include insurance companies, government agencies, plastic card processors (credit/debit/ATM), mail houses, consumer reporting agencies, data processors, and check/share draft printers
Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include TruStage for auto, home, and life insurance and Franklin Madison for AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) and HAP (Hospital Accident Plan).
